Sometimes, it is important to create your own sunshine.
This past October, I created a motivational pattern called Brighter Days are coming. Behind every pattern, is a story for the name and the inspiration .. For this one, a friend of mine had produced a House music track the year prior in response to racial injustice and events. The song spoke to me emotionally on many levels – particularly one of hope amidst “unprecedented” times so to speak. I had created Lemon Flowers batiks and kept saying – “when life gives you lemon, pick lemon flowers” – This gave creation to the pattern AND tea towels !
